I’ve got my Resolve on a 2009 MacPro with 12GB (attached by a Cubix 4x Xpander Pro) and want to upgrade RAM. I know Black Magic has said 12 to 24GB, but would there be a performance hit if I upped it to 6-8GB sticks for a total of 48gb?

Is there anybody out there with this much memory?

yeah, I am not expecting the memory upgrade to improve Resolve, but I do anticipate it to help with Premiere Pro and AE and Nuke. I just don’t want to have it negatively imapact Resolve.

I did not experience anything bad either, but yeah, I have a lot of stuff open at the same time, and rendering eats up memory quick.
But no, I did not test 48, I was to cheap to buy them.
