Need some help..I have an io (old school)..and I’m using it to attempt to digitize a Beta SP tape into FCP 7.. But I can’t seem to get it right. Too many variables? I uninstalled the io software on my machine..re-installed the newest drivers, etc.

When I go to log and capture I can control the deck but get no video or audio signal..what should my capture setting be?

    fcp 7.0.3
    os 10.6.8
    2×2.8 quad core Xeon
    4G ram

    any help is appreciated..

[Jon Nealon] “I uninstalled the io software on my machine..re-installed the newest drivers, etc.”

Those drivers would be in the archive under https://www.aja.com/en/support/legacy/io/

since those drivers have not been updated in 2 years.

Uninstall the AJa tools then re-install the legacy software and make sure there is nothing else on the FW buss at all.

Thanks for the suggestion…it’s still not working.
I can control the deck, but I get no video or audio signal..
    I changed cables (that wasn’t it)…

tried various capture/input settings.. toggled between composite and component on the deck..

When I use the proIO control panel, it doesn’t seem to always recognize the signal..

    Any other ideas?

what type of deck and what signal type. have you checked the signal via a monitor?

you have to set the input source via the control panel.
