Io HD mastering DVCProHD timeline
How that this is getting close, I have some questions, I understand stand the use of ProRes is to get HD bandwidth lower enough for Firewire. But is this a ProRes only device. My workflow at this time it to use DVCProHD timelines. So would I be able to master to HDCAM or even to DigiBeta with this unit or would I have to convert my timeline to ProRes first?

No. It’ll pass most anything except Uncompressed HD.
