IO error message
Ok, I’ve tried everything and still cant figure this out. I have the IO firewire plugged into the back of my mac pro. No other firewire devices are plugged in on the back, just the IO. However, I do have a firewire drive plugged in the front of the computer. I don’t think this would effect the IO since they are different ports…correct?
I still get the error message:
“Unable to open the specified Video Output device.
It may be in use by another application, incorrectly connected or may be conflicting with a sound input device”I have a Kona 3 card installed as well.
What’s going on? Any thoughts?

Different side of the computer, same ports. If you need another firewire port on your computer while using an io, it’s time to get a PCI card.
