  • Invigorator: set controls for comp camera

I’m in my first day with invigorator pro. I want to animate the presence of a maya object (car) in an AE MAC CS3 scene. I’ve located a 3D layer that reveals the car in the comp window and selected that layer in the set 1 pop up (and I’ve assigned the layer to the set as well)… but can’t control the car with sets control which snap back to their original position or within AE where the layer is necessarily in 2D.

I’m doing something wrong. Any ideas?

    Hi John,

To animate the Maya object, first apply 3D Invigorator to a Comp-sized 2D Solid within After Effects. Then, go into the 3D Invigorator interface, and use the “Import 3D Model” command. After importing the model, model should be in Set 1.

Now, go into the After Effects Effect Controls panel, and under “Set 1”, you can set the keyframes for “Set 1 X/Y/Z Position” to animate your Maya Object.

    Best,
    Edward
