    Hey Guys,

I’m looking to upgrade our aging inventory/production management database software. Has anyone seen, heard or used anything that has been pre-built? I don’t have the spare cash right now to go through another custom software build.

    Thanks as always,

    Nathan Byrne

This is a better question for the Business / Marketing Forum.

Filemaker Pro is a very easy to use database software.

We built our database using Filemaker. I started it and built the basics, then I had a pro come in and add all the bells & whistles. It can be anything you want it to be using Filemaker. We track every job and our tape library with it. We also have several reports built into it which tracks when jobs are finished and contacts the client to let them know the media from their project will be deleted from the hard drives.

    CHeck this out.

It built on top of Filemaker, so if you have that already, you’re half way there. Scales up to any operation size from 1 seat to many.

We use farmers wife here – but a warning – it’s really not the most user-friendly piece of software… A good teacher is essential!
