basicaly. its a 3d book that has precomps for pages with animated content inside the pages. everything was going fine. i was rotating the pages on there y axis to turn the pages. i then started adding the cc bend it effect to the pages to give the look as is the pages are not rigid pieces of paper. now, the front page blocks out the other pages. all the layers are in 3d space and are collapsed. i have also tryed changind comp settings between standard amd advanced 3d.

even if i bring the layers from below my front page forward in z space, the front page is still shown on top.

    please help. thanx

Combining effects with collapsed transforms can always cause any number of problems. You may need to add yet another nesting level by precomposing the pages with the effect first, then in another comp rotating them and finally with collapsed transforms have them rendered in your other comp.

Not sure if you are still having trouble with the page turn effect. I was having a similar problem and here’s how I solved it. Maybe this will help you. Not sure because I’m not actually using 3d layers but here goes.
I was trying to create a series of pages turning like flipping through a magazine, but as you pointed out whenever a page that was lower in the stack turned it would intersect the other pages instead of rolling over top. So here’s what I did…
    I had three pages…
The first page turned open using CC page turn no problem
The second page opened with CC effect, then I duplicated that layer twice
I put the 2 dupes of Page Two Above Page One
On the highest duplicate I changed the back page to a solid color and under the “Render” drop down, selected Backside
I then used this as an Alpha Matte for the other duplicate of my PAGE TWO so then then only the Backside of Page Two ranked higher in the stacking order than Page One

    HOPE THIS HELPS!!!!!
