    whenever i import jpg’s into a comp., the default interpretation is square pixels…can i change this default to widescreen interpretation so that i dont have to go change it every time i import a JPG?

    You will need to change the text document where ae has it’s rules for interpreting footage.

    Edit interpretation rules for all items of a specific kind(scroll down the page to get to it)
