International Price differences
You would think that in today’s global economy and with software available to purchase and download, prices would be consistent.
Not in Adobe’s case. I went to pre-order the Premier CS6 upgrade and for $149 thought it good value, so clicked to buy only to realise I was on the US store and not the Australian Adobe store. Ok, no problem, so I logged into the Aus store and now the price is $249.The US$1 has been worth less than AUS$1 for over six months, So the same product downloaded from the same server in $AUS should in theory be cheaper than the $US version.
Not even close!, we have to pay a whopping $98 extra. Now it isn’t that I can’t afford it, but it is just wrong. This is price gouging plain and simple.
