I’m on a MacBook Pro. Using Adobe Premiere Pro CS5. I am using 2 external hard drives (with ample space) and all media is stored on the EXTERNAL drives. Every time I open a CS5 project file and it links to the media on the external drive, I watch my INTERNAL hard drive go down consistently in terms of available space. There is no transferring or copying going on from external to internal as far as I can see (and I certainly didn’t initiate any).

Yesterday, it filled up my internal HD with 80+ GIGs of data, and my internal HD was finally full (12k remained available!)

I dumped 40GIGS of my own data to make room this morning, and it’s filling up the internal hard drive again today.

I checked for media cache files and they seem very small vs. 80G so I don’t think that’s the problem… but I could be wrong. I also changed the preferences/media to save media cache to the external hard drive. And my internal hard drive availability is still going way down by the minute (every minute the project is open).

Any help you can provide would be appreciated. I’m stalled on this project until someone has an answer 🙁

    Thanks,
    E
