I’m getting an unspecified import error with some of my P2 media– all clips were shot in the same format on the same P2 card, but some won’t import. They stay in the import queue with the “importing” icon until I click on them, when they give me an “error:unknown” message. As per some other forums, I deselected the “Remove advanced pulldown and duplicate frames” check, but to no effect.

Specs: FCP 6.01, Macbook Pro 2 Ghz w/ 2 GB RAM, source and cap scratch on GRaid via firewire.

    Thanks in advance!

[Spanky] “I’m getting an unspecified import error with some of my P2 media– all clips were shot in the same format on the same P2 card, but some won’t import. “

If you can’t resolve your problem in FCP try importing the clips with Raylight for Mac: https://dvfilm.com/raylight/mac

Not only is it more accepting with MXF files it’s also a lot faster.
