Interlacing Issues after export…..
Ok so I have a project that I am doing that involved ripping a bunch of a clients video off Youtube. The video is 1440×1080, at 29.97 fps. At the beginning of the timeline is a 1280×720 video. It is an after effects animation. When I am editing in FCPX the video looks fine…but I export it as H.264 and it comes out with that messed up interlacing lines issue on some sections of the video. Is there a way to fix this without having to redo everything….I could use the Dominance overide if it looked bad in the preview, that way I could tell if it was working….but I would have to render the whole thing out to find out and its over an hour long…..and advice would be much appreciated.

If you pulled the video off a website, then that video is progressive not interlaced. You’ve probably got FCPX introducing interlacing into the mix which explains the poor results. Put the footage into a progressive format like 29.97p or 30p and re-export.
