interfernce during fcp play back

The lines are not the same, and don’t necessarily happen in the spot that they just happened in, I can go back and they aren’t there or they are different (they can appear in a different frame or a different part of the frame). I can play it fine sometimes, with no lines at all, other times I get blinking lines through the whole thing. It doesn’t happen on other people’s computers with the same footage.
reinstalled Final Cut and it still happens,
any ideas? -

What type of footage are you editing, and what is your hard drive setup?

we are editing standard dv footage. it is stored on an isilon system which is similar to a san.
it is very fast and the same footage looks perfect on the same computer that is right next to it.when we open the same project on another computer there are no play back issues. it isn’t really affecting anything besides the playback in fcp…
