July 29, 2006 at 10:42 amI’d prefer an article slamming FCP for real deficiencies and bugs rather than one saying FCP is cute little thing but lacks almost everything an editor needs to use daily.
Avid vs. FCP articles by Loren S. Miller and Patrick Inhofer on Ken Stone site are much better because the authors know FCP well. Hopefully they get updated for current version of the app.

I dont’ use FCP regularly, but I have a colleague who does and he is VERY happy with DH_Dropout. In fact, it has saved some really important Betacam footage for him.
Keep up the good work

July 30, 2006 at 12:52 pm[Martin Baker] “I agree Zach. From the comments on here I was expecting an FCP slamming, which it wasn’t at all. Yes there are errors and misunderstandings that any new user will struggle with but overall I was surprised how complimentary he was.”
It’s got nothing to do with slamming, but everything to do with ignorance. How can you write a comparison when you don’t even know the product??? And there’s the reality of blog “journalism.” (most of it, anyway)
