January 12, 2010 at 11:45 amI just junked my second BM card and got an Kona LHI and the puter feels like it’s old self again.
I use the heck out of Boris Red and BCC 5 in my timeline – I don’t think there are many of us.
It would be nice to have a Red user group – all the Boris forums seem to be very heavy with AE plugins. I have never been able to wrap my head around AE.
I am really hoping for a Red 5 soon.
I hope to hear from more people like us. Keep up the good work! peter

January 13, 2010 at 5:38 pmPeter, fwiw… I tried those presets in Red 4.01 & it kicked back being incompatible with that version, even though I think it said on their site it was for 4.x etc.

January 13, 2010 at 8:46 pmWilliam – you are several versions behind. You need to upgrade to 4.3.4, it’s free as long as you’re legal @ https://www.borisfx.com/updates/#null
They open fine for me.

January 14, 2010 at 9:59 amThanks Peter. I’m still running Win2k SP2 (only supported on my archaic Avid XDV version) and tried once to upgrade to a couple of versions of Red a while back and had nothing but issues. 4.03 seems to be the only one that played nice. My thing has been kind of a “if it’s not broke…….” hence my outdatedness 😀
