Intensity Pro Pref Pane is grayed out
I have an Intensity Pro card installed in a MacPro. We’ve been using it for about half a year now and have never had an issue with it. Recently, due to some FinalCut Server and FCP capture issues with long-GOP HDV, I’ve had to run several different capture tests. This includes capturing from a deck into the card via Component.
But it wasn’t working, so I go to check/change settings in the System Preferences pane, and all the options are grayed out! The Settings button at the top doesn’t respond to any clicks, and the settings below it are unresponsive. Any ideas?

If the Intensity preference pane is grayed out, then it’s very likely that the card is not detected by your Mac. Is it showing up in the Apple System Profile under the PCI section?

No, it wasn’t. We checked inside, and the card was secure. We removed it, inspected for any damage, and replaced it in the same slot. Worked fine after that! Sheesh….
