Intensity Pro monitoring from FCP via HDMI
Hi,
I’ve been trying to dig through all the threads related to this so forgive me if it’s been covered before.I’m trying to monitor out from FCP via HDMI. The problem I have is that the video only shows the frame where the playback head is located on the timeline. The video will not playback in real time.
Do I need a high speed RAID to see real time or is it software related?
Here are my specs and settings:
Mac 12 core, 8GB RAM, OSX 10.6.5, ATI Radeon HD 5770 1024 MB VRAM
(I’m running dual monitors)
FCP 6.0.6
Blackmagic 3.9.1 (settings for this are default set to HDMI & Component output, no processing, 7.5 IRE checked)
I’m going HDMI to Panasonic Viera consumer LCD (supports up to 1080)
I’m mostly using P2 video at 720 (DVCProHD) or ProRes stuff
G-tech Firewire800 connectionI suspect my Firewire800 is the issue. Do I need a RAID to monitor FCP?
Thanks,
