Intensity Pro and Flash Media Encoder 3.0
Posted by Marek Tamm on January 5, 2010 at 11:14 amHi,
I cannot make Intensity Pro work with Flash Media Encoder 3.0 in higher than 720×486 resolution. It just won’t give such optionOlder FME 2.5 works with 1920×1080, but has problems with frame rate.
Has anyone been able to live stream higher resolutions with Intensity Pro? And with what software?
Thanks,

January 6, 2010 at 8:31 pmThanks for pointing this out, I just grabbed 3.0 and on my DeckLink Extreme HD it is doing the same hustle for the input size. I don’t know if it is a bug with Adobe or with BlackMagic Drivers.

January 11, 2010 at 3:22 amI am in the EXACT same boat.
We bought the card so we can stream our newscasts online. Since we are outputting HD the HDMI was neccessary.
We used to use Flash Media Encoder, but have the same problem you mentioned.
Can anyone help here? Or suggest a different program to use that can capture both video and audio and then stream it?
Thanks,

January 21, 2010 at 11:25 pmi am using an intensity pro with flash media live encoder 3. i had the same problem with the input size and not being supported. so i installed vh multicam studio. When you open fmle it will open the multicam program. Go to file add the camera as your decklink card, set the resolution and frame rate. Then you will have alot more input options in fmle. I have since ran into a problem though. My cpu is maxing out now. So i am dropping alot of internal frames. Maybe someone else will have more luck with this setup.

May 5, 2010 at 2:33 pmSo with the new update for FMLE 3.1 released in May 2010 you can now capture from 1920×1080 with the Black Magic Intensity Card.
That’s a good thing. But I am getting FMLE 3.1 crashing in x64 windows 7 when I try and encode from source….
Maybe it’s my settings… I actually want to stream 1920 x 1080 with Flash
Anyone else get that to work… please share the magic…
I have loads of bandwidth…

May 6, 2010 at 1:32 amI don’t think so… Got a link to it?
I did get it to capture from whatever I’m running with FMLE 3.1 but it crashes with an unknown error after a short period of time..
But I do see video in the preview now and 3.0 didn’t do that…
