Intensity Pro Analog Audio Input is Not Working Without the Presence of any Analog Video Input
Hello,
Recently we have installed 15 Intensity Pro cards into our Adobe Premiere Pro CS6 based Editing workstations for monitoring purpose. Primarily we are using the Composite Video and Analog Audio Output for the timeline preview monitoring on the Television screen, which is working perfectly. Even we have tried the HDMI A/V out without any problem. But from the very beginning of this installation we have found that the Analog Audio input of the Intensity Pro Cards from our Audio Mixer is not functional without the presence of any kind of Analog Video Input signal into the Intensity Pro card (The Green RCA Input). Here I would like to mention that we don’t need to ingest/capture any kind of analog video signal, neither we don’t have any analog composite/component video sources available throughout the whole facility for this kind of dummy/reference video input to help function the Analog audio input.
Now I am just wondering, is it the proper way it should work or is there any logical reason for what the Analog audio input is not working at all without the presence of any kind of Analog video signal to the Intensity Pro card, even if I don’t need to ingest the Video signal (only the analog audio recording is needed) ?
We are feeling helpless at this stage and your valuable help and suggestion is highly appreciated, thanks.
