From 9to5mac report “Another aspect that makes the DSL3510 interesting is that it supports multiple internal DisplayPort inputs. What this means is that it could in theory interface with a discrete graphics card as well as the integrated graphics from an Intel CPU. This is likely to be the chip used by Apple in its desktop systems, whereas the more power efficient DSL3310 will end up in notebook products.”

Desktop system? Maybe a new Mac Pro/iPro?

That’d be my thinking too. I don’t think it’ll be called MacPro. It’s why there’s no mention of MacPro in the In Action FCPX case studies on Apple’s site.

My thinking if it’s got a built in monitor
    iMacPro
if it’s the “pizza box” RU thing I thought of previously.
    MacMax
which would be at the other end of MacMini
    Hmm maybe
    MacXPro

Ya know Craig, I’m with you.
I think the next iteration may well be an iMac Pro model, perhaps with three TB ports, 64 GB RAM and a 30″ screen…for instance.

MacMax sounds too much like Mad Max. What about Omega Mac?

    2.9 GHz 8-core (4,1), FCP 7.0.3, 10.6.6
    Blackmagic Multibridge Eclipse (7.9.5)

[Andrew Kimery] “MacMax sounds too much like Mad Max”

Apple didn’t have an issue with “MightyMouse”

MacMax staring in “Beyond the Thunderbolt”
