Intel says expect “hundreds” of Thunderbolt devices this year
Intel says they are on track to help vendors to deliver around 100 different Thunderbolt devices this year.
That is good news for all concerned.

From 9to5mac report “Another aspect that makes the DSL3510 interesting is that it supports multiple internal DisplayPort inputs. What this means is that it could in theory interface with a discrete graphics card as well as the integrated graphics from an Intel CPU. This is likely to be the chip used by Apple in its desktop systems, whereas the more power efficient DSL3310 will end up in notebook products.”
Desktop system? Maybe a new Mac Pro/iPro?

That’d be my thinking too. I don’t think it’ll be called MacPro. It’s why there’s no mention of MacPro in the In Action FCPX case studies on Apple’s site.

I think the next iteration may well be an iMac Pro model, perhaps with three TB ports, 64 GB RAM and a 30″ screen…for instance. -
