Like many of the Vegas Tutorials on the web, there is some truth and a whole lot of BS. The tutorial you posted qualifies for a lot of BS. The biggest of the bunch is that, Magix created ProRes to get the best quality from DSLR’s. No Magix did not create ProRes and ProRes was not created specifically for DSLR’s. And there is a lot more BS besides this one example.
