Can someone tell me how to install presets to Adobe After Effects CS3. The video on Videocopilot.com only got me so far. But if I were to put the stuff I want to install in the After Effects presets folder then restart After Effects, it doesn’t show.

if the files are tagged as .ffx you should be able to put them into the ae presets folder and they should work…

what version of ae are you using… i found that presets created in later versions won’t work in earlier versions… but older version presets do work in newer versions of ae.

I’m using After Effects CS3 I’m downloading everything from nabscripts.com/downloads. It doesn’t say .ffx at the end of it but I don’t think thats what the problem is. I made a new folder where the presets are in After Effects. And I copied everything I downloaded to this folder. So what am I suppose to do now?

so you have a single file that was downloaded… it is probably a compressed archive file that need to be decompressed… try using a zip utility to decompress it. does it have any tag (like .zip, .gz. etc.)?

i tried the link you mentioned but it could not find the page… i did go to nabscripts.com and clicked downloads, downloaded the nabLIB file. it was a zip file and it decompressed to a folder full of java scripts for ae.

if you downloaded scripts, then once decompressed, they would get installed in the ae scripts flolder.

I went to the third page of the downloads section on Nabscripts and I downloaded Translate Expressions. I put it into scripts after I decompressed it but am I to see something different when I get into After Effects. All I really want, is what they use on Videocopilot.com. Ex. CC Sphere, anything CC, Particle World (just to name a few). How do I get those?

those are effects… the cc denotes cycore. fear not, you probably have these…

if you are using a pro version of ae prior to cs3 (but later than around 6.0) they are on the ae install disk in the extras folder. find the folder named cycore and run the installer. in cs3 they are installed automaticly.

if you have an earlier version of ae, you can purchase the cc effects from cycore.com.
