installing codecs and not showing up in vegas
Posted by Derek Antos on April 12, 2010 at 2:13 amI installed the k-lite codec pack in hopes of using the xvid .mp4 codec and it just won’t show up in Vegas, none of them do. When I go to render they’re not there. I installed the 64-bit pack for Vegas Pro 9.0c 64bit.

Why did you install a whole bunch of codecs just to get Xvid? Why not just install Xvid from the official site?
When I go to render they’re not there.
Where are you looking? They will be in the video format dropdown list in the AVI templates.

If you are using Vegas Pro 64-bit and the codecs are not listed, it means that there is no 64-bit version of the codec installed. All of your AVI codecs that Vegas can see are listed under Video Formats like this:

No. The only Xvid codecs available at xvid.org are for 32-bit.
