Installing and connecting Quadro 4000 for Mac on my Mac Pro
I am trying to install and connect on my Mac Pro, a 2 x 2.26 GHz Quad-Core Intel Xeon, a Quadro 4000 for Mac. I have inserted the Quadro 4000 into Slot 1 and moved my ATI Radeon 4870 to slots 3 & 4. I am keeping the ATI card because I have two (2) monitors and I am not sure if the Quadro 4000 will run 2 monitors. I have also downloaded what I hope are appropriate drivers for the Quadro 4000 so that it will be enabled to run CUDA. When I turn on my computer, I get an error message – the power cable for your graphics card is not properly connected. To connect the cable, turn off your computer. Then plug one end of the power cable into the connector on the logic board and the other end into the card.
I have checked this chord and its connections several times and it seems secure. Is there some trick/suggestion to remedy this problem?
Also, am I correct that the Quadro 4000 is only set up to power one (1) monitor?
Thanks for your suggestions.
