    Hi all,
Installed a Kona 2 card into a G5 Dual 2.5 running 10.3.8. Installed the driver and thought all was good. The Kona Card is not connected to anything, but the computer now thinks it is the main monitor, cannot figure out how to reroute main video to main display (Apple 23″ & 20″ LCD driven by a GeForce 6800 in slots 1-2). The Kona card is in slot 3. Let me know if anyone has any ideas about reconfiguring. Am so far unfamiliar with the card. Is there a control panel or something that was installed with the driver.

    Thanks in advance.

The Kona 2 automatically defaults to placing the Mac Desktop onto your external NTSC (or PAL) monitor. This is the general way of running the K2.

Simply go into the Kona Control Panel and change the output to Black or something other than Mac Desktop and your system will revert back to the normal 2 monitors.

Most of us run the K2 with Mac Desktop as a default though. That’s the way AJA recommends running the system and it’s just great for working with Photoshop as you can create your graphics right on the external monitor to check color and such.
