installation problem
Greetings,
I am having a problem installing Vegas 9.0. Every time I try the install, an error message pops up saying “The cabinet file ‘aifplug2.cab’ required for this installation is corrupt and cannot be used. This could indicate a network error, an error reading from the CD-ROM, or a problem with this package.” My computer has all of the necessary specs for the program to run correctly.
Any ideas how I could remedy this problem?

Two things: (1) If you downloaded it, then download it again. Maybe the download is corrupt. (2) What else is running on your PC? Stop all background programs. I once used Restore-It and it was a great program for monitoring changes on your PC and restoring if something failed. Unfortunately, it cause all of the Sony install programs to fail. So stop all anti-virus or auto-backup or auto-defrag or any other programs and try and install again.

So I turned off the auto-defrag, the anti-virus program, and the auto-backup and it did not really work. It got past the error with the aifplug2.cab but a new error has popped up. It reads “The cabinet file ‘atracplu.cab’ required for this installation is corrupt and connot be used.” I don’t have any programs that would stop this from working so I don’t know what the problem is.
Any help would be good.
