  • Inserting JPEG into green screen transition of video clip

Posted by Travis Wayne on December 1, 2016 at 4:59 am

    Hello,

I’m looking to add a title card (JPEG) into the green screen transition of a video clip (mp4) that I’m going to purchase for a project. The video clip is a countdown, and has a clockwise green screen transition. Here’s a link to the clip: https://www.pond5.com/stock-footage/12952753/vintage-film-projector-countdown-green-screen-transition.html

I’ve also attached a screen grab of the video clip.

How do I go about adding the JPEG to the green screen transition? I want the title card to start appearing once the green portion of the clip begins. I’m unfamiliar with the exact terminology, so please forgive my over explanation ☺

    Thanks!

Ultra Keyer will do this for you rather nicely.

Fiddle with settings until it plays nicely. Using the “Alpha” display mode will help you find noisy spots, etc.

The vignetting the screengrab shows may cause some issues, but it looks manageable with an appropriate amount of messing with the settings.

Put the countdown video clip on V2, with jpeg still image under it on V1 track. Then apply UltraKey effect on V2 clip as Alan stated. When the video hits the green part, the green will be keyed out revealing the jpeg image beneath it.

    Thanks
