Hey – this is my third edit with Vegas 8.1

This one I could never figure out…

When I insert my 5.1 surround sound .wav file, why does its length not match the corresponding video length?

I have to manually Group them together and decrease both end points.

    Thoughts?

    Jeff

Where did the 5.1 file come from?
    Is it a 48K file?
Are your audio project properties set to 48K?

The video originated from Sony AVCHD Camcorder.

Then I used the UpShift program to decompress the video. It splits out the audio into a .wav file.

Project audio properties set to 48K

Jeff, I vaguely recall reading something about this issue on another Vegas forum but can’t remember which one.
Post this question on the regular Cow Vegas forum as John Rofrano from VASST (co-creators of UpShift) is one of the moderators there and may have some ideas for you.
