    Hey all,

I’m cutting a series with RED footage and a producer is gungho about using Premiere to cut out any middle-man when it comes to transcoding our footage. The company I work for is all final cut and maybe I’m being a jerk but I just know that every program has its own eccentricities, so I’ve already said I won’t edit it in Premiere, but I was wondering if I could still in theory use the program to convert my footage from the raw files to FCP friendly Pro Res LT quicktimes?

I haven’t used Premiere since college so I figured before I started running tests with my caveman knowledge I’d check in here and see if it even made sense…

    Thanks!
