    Hallo,

I have following problem – which might make my switch to FCPX for this work easier:
My material is shot on Canon C300. My OS is 10.8.
Apparently the Plug in for ingesting in L&T in FCP7 is only supported till 10.7.
When I download this one, it would not install in my 10.8 system.
Does it mean there is no way in 10.8 anymore to ingest C300 footage over L&T?

I was wondering if I should make this movie my first FCPX project…that might have made the choice for me then.

    Greetings,

Can’t even install it? What happens when you try? I guess mine still works as I installed it under 10.7, and then updated to 10.8 later.

Not that I still use FCP 7…I just tested import of C300 recently to answer a question.

    Hi Shane,

Yes, if you had it already installed on 10.7. It’s no problem, but when you install it onto 10.8. The installers tells you, that you cannot install it on 10.8. I read a post on the COW, that there is a trick to make the installer believe its 10.7, but I could not find it yet. Kind of stupid of Canon: why blocking it for 10.8 if its actually working fine in it?

    They don’t care…FCP 7 is EOL.
