I took a vector file from Illustrator into AE and scaled it up by 180% and started seeing a decrease in the image. I know AI files are vectors but whats the best way to deal with them in AI so they keep there resolution and quality like they should do?

    Thanks

there is a switch for a given layer in the timeline (switches panel) called ‘continuously rasterize’. if you enable that switch for the ai layer(s) then ae will keep the edges sharp as the scale.

Did you check the box “continuously rasterize” in the timeline?
