    Hi
    After reading every post online, on Adobe, here in CreativeCow, Prolost.com and listening to a few podcasts on the subject on fxguide, was still not fully understanding why doing any effects work in a log color space was wrong…even though the results seemed ok.

    But the ‘linear light bulb’ has finally turned on after reading half way thru chapter 11 in the excellent Mark Christiansen book.
    ‘Adobe After Effects CS5 Visual Effects and Compositing Studio Techniques’. Highly recommended just for that chapter alone.

    Still puzzling over a few things, like what to do in a PPRo-AE linear color managed workflow, now that back in Premiere my linked footage appears too dark, but am a lot further along in my understanding than before…
