  Inbuilt audio device not available Powerbook G4

  Hi Guys,

  Just thought I’d let people know about a problem and solution I have recently discovered on my 15″ 1.67 PowerBook G4.

  When booting up my laptop at home, the inbuilt audio device was unavailable. This meant that there was no audio from the inbuilt speakers or the headphone jack.

  The only difference at homee, as opposed to work, is the wireless connection and my Lacie drive, which I use Timemachine with, isn’t plugged in.

  After turning timemachine off and restarting, the inbuilt audio device is available again.

  I’m running Mac OS X 10.5.3 but I also have Xiotios – iTimeMachine installed as well which might have something to do with it.

  This problem bugged me for a while so I just thought I’d it with you guys incase anyone else is having similar troubles.
