In the Market for my first, lower end, editing system
I’m a college senior, and i’m looking to invest in an editing system for my home, so that i no longer have to rely upon going to a lab, and so that i may experiment with new software and what not. The reason I am doing this right now is that i want to take advantage of the 90% educational discount on the avid software as long as i’m a student, getting it for only $299.
Overall, I’m looking for the best possible desktop PC & A monitor, that i can get and spend roughly 1,000 dollars, not counting the editing software. if it was cheaper, that would be even better! but if i had to go under or above 1,000, i would go under. I’m not going to be editing any 1080p feature films anytime soon, so it doesn’t have to be a monster, but something that can handle HD, even if it is a bit slower than the best.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
(also a quick follow up. opinions on Ebay & Refurbished systems?)
