  in precision editor…similarity between dissolve markers and cut markers…coincidence?

  I was noticing in the precision editor, that a cut is marked by an icon that looks a lot like the dissolve marker, just much shorter like a dissolve without a duration?

  I was trying to work with some modifier keys to “expand” the cut into a dissolve. Not that shift F is too much work, I’m just looking at other ways to do things. Anyone have any thoughts on this?
