    Hello all,

I am in need of a new graphic card to use with CS3. However, I have a specific need that I can’t seem to get any clarification for. I need a card that will run dual computer monitors AND out a TV signal to a broadcast monitor for previews of work. Currently I am using a Matrox APVe which does the trick quite nicely, but for some reason Matrox’s cards don’t support OpenGL 2.0 or above. I had a PNY FX540 Quattro card that stated it could run three monitors, but in reality it could only run two at any one time even though you could hook up three. Based on my experience with the FX540 I am a little hesitant to pick up say a FX1700. It too says dual monitors and HDTV out, but does it really support three monitors at the same time?

So my question is what cards would you suggest looking at? Again I need a card with OpenGL 2.0 or greater support and be able to run dual monitors as well as a broadcast monitor at the same time.

Also I am working in WinXP.

    Thanks in advance.

    George,

I am in the same situation as you were/are. I was wondering if you came up with a solution? In order to get the 2 monitor + NTSC output I currently use 2 540’s however I’m not too thrilled with the quaility of the NTSC signal and I can’t upgrade to Open GL 2.0. I was thinking of one of 2 solutions, either a 1700 and ditrching the 2 monitors for big one or a 1700 plus a black magic decklink card. Let me know how you solved your predicament.

    Thanks
