I’m sad to report to friends and colleagues here on the FCP Forum that our fellow Cow member, Chris Poisson, passed away last Friday, Dec 24th. Chris was a helpful Cow leader on both the FCP and FCP Basics Forums, and a very talented award-winning art director and video editor, with more than 600 TV commercials to his credit.

Early in his career Chris was very well known as an imaginative graphic artist, with numerous professional album covers to his credit: among them was the 1974 album, Visions of the Emerald Beyond (below), by the jazz-fusion group, Mahavishnu Orchestra.

Chris was a good friend and a good friend of The Creative Cow. He will be missed.

Very sad indeed. One of the nicest people one could hope to meet.

As a fan of Mahavishunu Orchestra and also Chris’s contribution to this forum, I too will miss his creative contributions.

Sadly, this is not a big surprise.
When a COW-boy like Chris, stop posting from one day to the next, I get the feeling that something is wrong.
Que hayas encontrado tu sitio, Chris.

Thank you for these wonderful tributes to my brother, Chris. We are deeply saddened by his passing and will miss him very much. It’s heartening to hear tributes from his professional community. He was so talented as an artist and an amazing cook! I hope and pray that he has found peace at last.

I’m so sorry to hear that. I have read many many posts by him and had many online conversations with him in our postings. I regret not having a chance to meet him in person. My best goes out to his family. He will be missed.

I only knew Chris through these forums, but he was kind, and smart. His advice was stellar and generously given.

I wish I had known Chris better, and in a more personal context than just these forums. He will be missed.
