    Hi,
Could someone lead me to a way to create a lens effect through a glass cube – so object beyond cube is out of focus but in focus when viewed through glass cube – the lens – so to speak. Thanks for your time and help.

Technically speaking a cube has no lens effect because the sides are straight. Generally, though, you achieve lens effects by enabling refraction in the transparency channel (increase the Refraction setting over the default value of 1). Glass has a refractive index of approximately 1.5.
