In bed together or just in adjacent rooms?
For as long as I can remember (certainly through several generations now), Adobe has pitched how tightly integrated is its suite of multimedia apps.
I’m having terrible problems with PPro handling complex dissolves between animations. I understand that it has the After Effects engine to DO this operation, but perhaps I strain it with up to five levels, though I rarely use more than three.
I’d like to export a troublesome segment to AE. I’d even nest a whole AE project in PPro if I could. (Now THAT would constitute integration!)
At the very least, how can I export a segment of complicated work on my PPro timeline to AE, so I can replace it in PPro with a rendered version done in AE that it doesn’t choke on?

The transition and titles will not copy over, but you could copy the clips right off of the PPro 1.5 timeline and paste them into the timeline of an AE 6.5 comp.
Or, you could open the PPro project in AE.
