In FCP, I have created in and out in the Viewer from a source clip, done an overwrite edit into the timeline. When I “send to” Sound Track Pro from Final Cut Pro from the timeline, Sound Track Pro opens with markers at the beginning and end of the audio track. The markers are where the in and out points are in the timeline in Final Cut Pro. However, if I scroll left and right, the entire source clip is in Sound Track Pro, not just the in and out from the affiliated clip in the timeline. How can I make only the audio from between the in and out on the timeline only come over into Soundtrack Pro as opposed to the entire source clip? Is there a setting somewhere?

Just export the portion of the audio that you need as an .aiff and bring that into Soundtrack. Click on your viewer with your in/out set and go to File>Export using QuickTime compression>Movie to .aiff.
