    Get a faster Mac. There are no accelerator cards with FCP.

    Victor,

    You can never completely eliminate renders, but you can certainly eliminate many renders so long as your sequence settings match your captured video. Your best bet with your BM card is to capture 8 bit uncompressed, and make certain that you use the same settings in Easy Setup and in the View settings, and that should virtually eliminate rendering.
