i searched this forum but nothing came up. sorry if this has already been covered.

the past few days i’m having trouble importing the layers i choose from photoshop. everything was working fine til ae decided to pick whatever layer it wants instead of the one i select. and it’s done that since. i’ve never had this problem before. and so i haven’t been able to continue my work. i’ve resarted things, renamed layers, renamed projects. but ae still gives me the wrong layer.

anybody have a clue what’s going on?
i doubt it makes a difference but i’m using ae cs3 and photoshop cs2.

    thanks

What version of CS3 are you using? This was a bug in versions prior to 8.0.2. If you’re on that version then I’m out of ideas =)

You should definitely run Adobe Updater.

I had a similar problem, where importing a multi-layered PSD file as a composition left me with a single layer representing a composited version of the PSD.

My versions are up to date, but it turns out that the PSD was in CMYK. The lack of an error message was confusing.

I’m just posting this here for future searchers…
