Importing/trasncoding dnx145 into xdcamhd project
Hi. We are new to XDCAM HD 50 and intend on editing natively in this format. A client wants to send us dnx145 footage. Can the avid import this into an xdcamhd project and transcode? Or would we be able to have a mixed resolution sequence? Or do we need to transcode prior to injest using some other software?

With Avid MC 4.0 and above, you can have a mixed sequence…and mixed frame rate. Well, with MC3.0 and above you could mix formats…it’s 4.0 and above that you could mix frame rates. Avid does this better than most NLEs.
I’d mix the formats…not transcode to XDCAM. Converting a non-GOP format to a GOP format is ugly.
