Importing video to photoshop CS3 – color management work flow
Hi all
I have been asked to help a colleague clone out a piece of electrical trunking that appears in the background of a video scene that appears in a period drama.
The video is for high end broadcast and although very confident with cloning within the animation palette I would like to check the best colour management work flow.
The video is full HD and I am nervous that by importing the footage then exporting I will modify the colour profile.
How can I be sure that the video I bring into PS CS3 will look exactly the same pixel for pixel (except the repaired area) when I export??
Also – I have never used full HD on my system but I assume it will work albeit not at full speed. I have MacBook Pro, 2.33 GHz intel core 2 with 2GB RAM.
I would be really grateful for help – this is a really important gig to get right

You can either turn off color management… or trust Photoshop to read the profile of the image (choose File>Open).
