    Hi everyone,

Please, how do I import titles into final cut pro without loosing blending styles such as drop shadows, strokes, etc. and if you say I should use alpha chanels please let me know step by step how to do it.

    Thanks a million for helping,

You would need to create a merged layer for FCP to read the file. So, Make your PSD file with a Blank layer (to hold the Alpha) and a Merged layer(s) (if you have more than one layer you want to bring in) then in FCP import the PSD. You probably know that it comes in like a Nested Sequence. Then just either copy and past the different Layers into your working sequence or take the Nested sequence. thats it.

    Hope that helps

Layer styles are stored separately from the actual layer content and must be merged before using in FCP.

Duplicate the image before making drastic changes such as merging layers. Always keep the original intact so you can make changes without starting from scratch.
