importing titels and video mix downs from avid
i have an avid MC 6 project using only AMA files (canon 5d)and some titels and background clips made in avid (DNxHD 185)
importing the AAF in resolve works fine – i gave the original files a tape name in avid and the same as reel name in resolve – so it finds the corresponding files.
but there are some FX clips (video mixdown to DNxHD), titles and simple background clips (like fade to white) how can i link to these in resolve, so i have a complete final timeline to grade?

You don’t
Normally before going to CC you strip all effects.
Makes sense, if you have a fade to white on a clip that needs tons of cc, you won’t end up with white…

If you need to pass a videomixdown or similar. Then in Avid export it as a file and either re-import or AMA it.
But as said the grade should be Raw elements not titles or effects.Pat Horridge
