    Dear Creative Cow Community,

I have been fighting very long and hard to export my subtitles from DVDSP and then import them into FCP. I needed this to render a version with “burned-in” subs for theatrical screenings.

I’ve read lot’s of very helpful posts on this board, and used some of the applications written or suggested by some of you. In the end I had to write my own little script though.

I did use Subtitle Xtractor and tried using Subbit. Props to those who wrote them.

here’s the link to the script:
    https://lassbros.com/subs2xml/subs2xml.php

It’s just a very simple PHP script that converts from .srt to XML, I hope it will help some of you, who are looking for a solution for this problem.

email me, if you think I could help with anything!

    Best regards,
    Tom
