  • Importing spanned footage (over 3 cards) into Premiere CS5.5

I have 3 P2 cards that I shot a four hour lecture series on. Two 32gb cards and one 16gb. All three cards have spanned clips but it’s not from the same recording. Card one and two have a spanned clip and card two and three have another spanned clip for another recording. I copied the entire contents of each card (“CONTENTS” folder and “LASTCLIP.TXT” file) to my hard drive in three separate folders for each card. I then used the media browser in Premiere to view/upload footage. All of the footage appears to be there except for the last 30 minutes of the lectures. When manually going into the contents folder and viewing the videos, the files are clearly there, but they are not showing up in Premiere. Am I copying over the structure right from each card? should EVERYTHING be in one folder, and if so, how should that look structure wise?

I’m on a Mac, by the way.

    Thanks!

Not sure if this will work, but could you make each card a virtual disk image (DMG), mount them and see if Media Browser then seems them correctly?
