Importing simple Motion titles to FCP not keying.
I’m importing simple white on transparent bkgd. motion titles to FCP. When placed in the FCP time line they show up as white titles against a black field even though there is no bkgd. layer in the Motion project. I can rectify the situation by specifying the track be treated as an overlay, but in the past I didn’t have to do that. The Motion file would be keyed over the track below. Is there something different in Motion 3?

As long as you are using a native Motion Project file or a codec that supports transparency, you shouldn’t be having a problem.
Do a Command-J on your Motion project and make sure your Background is set to transparent.
