    Hi,

I am attempting to import Panasonic P2 footage off an external hard drive into Final Cut Pro. When I choose the “contents” folder I see about 72 clips in the bin. I can preview these in the “import p2” window. However, when I select “Add to Queue” and import the clips, some of my files down’t make it into Final Cut. I know they exist because there are 72 clips in the “video” folder and 72 clips in the “clips” folder. Only about 30 of the 72 clips are actually making it into Final Cut. What am I missing???

Any help will be much appreciated.

    Hey Shane,

Thanks for your response. I tried unchecking the “Remove Advanced Pulldown And Duplicated Frames” option on my P2 Import Preferences but again, some clips simply did not import. I am running an intel-based system with FCP 5.1.4. I feel like there must be something else I’m missing but as of now, I’m stumped. Thanks again for your help and if you can think of anything else, I appreciate it greatly.

Did footage originate on a firestore?
Try “organize P2 footage” before you take media off?

You mention contents folder, did you also bring over the small text file (lasttext.txt – I think)?
